This week we had a great meeting with David Neale of Fable Branding and cinematographer Tom Maher of Stolen Moment about collaborating on a video project. We got to tell them about the work that we do here and how we are different from other breast cancer organizations. We talked about how it is impossible to find a single person that has not been touched by breast cancer either directly or indirectly.
VBCF was born of a spark ignited on Mother’s Day in 1991. 27 years and 363 days later VBCF is here answering the call of a woman worried about her mammogram results. VBCF is here advocating with the National Breast Cancer Coalition to enact legislation that would make life easier for people with metastatic breast cancer and to ensure research funding that will hopefully lead to a cure for this disease someday.
We are thankful that we are here to meet these needs but at the end of the day, we wish we didn’t have to be. We truly want to put ourselves out of business because that would mean that breast cancer is eradicated.
If you want to help keep the flame burning – make a donation to our Mother’s Day Campaign. Right now, gifts are generously being matched by Gay Rudis – a true champion for VBCF.
If you or someone you know needs help – give us a call (800-345-8223) or chat with us on our website. We are here for you until we don’t have to be.
