The chapters of the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation play an invaluable role in supporting VBCF’s mission to educate and advocate for the eradication of breast cancer. The Central Virginia Chapter has been active in spreading awareness about breast cancer and in educating their community on the facts about breast cancer since 2004. While they participate in a wide range of activities, the following are some examples of the Central Virginia Chapter's efforts:

Chapter meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month (except July) at 6:30 p.m. and alternate between SW Funk Office in Chester and the VBCF State Office in Richmond. |

Upcoming Events October 9: Central VA Chapter Meeting, 6:30pm, SW Funk Office, Chester October 26: 15th Annual Dance for the Cause Jazzercise Fundraiser, Richmond. Come dance and exercise for a great cause. 9:00am. Registration is $25. The event will be held at the Jewish Community Center, 5403 Monument Avenue. Contact Gay Rudis at 804-741-4147 for more information. October 27: 12th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Dinner, Petersburg. Features historical location and celebrity wait staff, such as local news anchors and politicians. Tips benefit VBCF. Dinner held at Brickhouse Run, 407-409 Cockade Alley in Old Towne.
